Lisa Williams
Lisa has over 30 years’ experience of HR practice in national and global organisations across a range of sectors and disciplines. She writes some of Syzygy’s assessment materials as well as managing many of the projects on which the team work.
Lisa is particularly interested in what makes people tick so her focus is often on assessing, mentoring and facilitating teams. Lisa holds a BSc in Psychology, and a Masters in Strategic HR Management. She is a Fellow of the CIPD and a Member of the BPS. She is accredited to use a range of psychometric tools including Hogan, 16PF, CPI, MBTI, FIRO-B, RQ, EJI and TMSDI.
Lisa is a keen supporter of a number of charities. Instead of sending Christmas cards, Syzygy makes a donation equal to the amount that would have been spent and Lisa has completed the Race for Life every year for the past fifteen years to raise funds for crucial cancer research. She also loves health spas, baking and enjoys regular cinema visits in her spare time.
Angela Peel
Angela has over 25 years’ experience of HR and people management practices in national and global organisations across the private, not for profit and public sectors. She has held senior HR positions in a number of organisations as well as senior consulting roles.
In addition to developing some of the Syzygy library materials, Angela focuses on the development of HR policies and procedures for a wide range of organisations, on organisational design projects including restructuring, business process engineering, role design and organisational change, and on assessment.
She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, and uses tools including the 16PF and MBTI. She is an experienced facilitator and also undertakes independent investigations for disciplinary, grievance and harassment issues. She has a wealth of knowledge which she puts to good use when advising on employee relations issues, including consultation, union recognition, strike ballot and industrial action scenarios, and she also devises and delivers training and development workshops covering areas such as performance management, absence management, discrimination and other aspects of employment law.
Angela is a keen golfer and plays an active role in her local golf club. She has yet to reach her target of playing off ‘scratch’, but is making considerable headway as part of her personal development plan!
Jill Thorburn
Jill started her career as a veterinary surgeon, and moved onto positions in sales, training, human resources, management development and consultancy. Her experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals and local government enables her to work with people from all walks of life. She believes in treating people as individuals, has a strong work ethic and is a true believer in getting out of life what you put in to it. She has ‘walked the talk’ in the concept of developing and applying transferable skills.
Jill is interested in all aspects of assessment and development. She has an MA in Personnel Management and is a Member of the BPS and CIPD. She uses a range of tools including CPI260, MBTI, SPQ, RQ, OPQ, TMSDI and Hogan.
Any spare time is dedicated to family, friends and trying to keep fit; the latest sport being trialled is wild swimming.
Christine Froebel
After starting her career in the Health Service, Christine moved to the pharmaceutical industry in 1982 where she held roles in sales, training and business management.
Christine now works as a business consultant and performance coach. She holds memberships of The Association of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (ANLP), The Association of Coaching and Certificates in Transactional Analysis and Supervision.
Christine is an Accredited Coach and a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and specialises in communication techniques to improve personal and business performance.
Christine enjoys working with clients to convert strategic business objectives into tactical plans, at a variety of levels. She has significant experience in process analysis, modelling, and setting up coaching networks. She has worked extensively within the NHS and with Primary Care Trusts at Director level, and within the construction, food and IT industries.
To Christine, the client’s success is a measure of her effectiveness. She sees the key to peak performance as enjoying the journey, and overcoming obstacles using flexible approaches within a supportive environment.
Nicola Harvey
Nicola has over 25 years’ experience in project and event management, in the commercial and charity sectors, with a more recent focus on internal communications, change management and identifying and building the right teams.
Nicola is passionate about supporting clients and their employees through organisational development and transition to achieve successful and long lasting results. She enjoys the challenge of designing bespoke solutions to improve employee engagement and behavioural change, and devising the right measures to track results.
Nicola has a wide range of skills to support her work including speech writing and presentations; designing, writing and producing newsletters and press releases; analysing and interpreting data; and coaching senior management on getting the best from their teams.
In her spare time, Nicola undertakes a variety of creative activities including silversmithing, stained glass work and photography. She loves travelling and hates passing up an opportunity to rack up the air miles.
Julia Norman
Julia is an experienced Chartered Psychologist and Performance Coach. She has worked for a number of leading HR consultancies, and in her earlier career she worked in commercial management for blue-chip organisations in the FMCG sector. She now specialises in Executive Assessment and Leadership Development.
Julia has designed and delivered assessment interventions to identify potential and support recruitment decisions or bespoke development programmes. In supporting behavioural change, Julia designs and delivers management development workshops on Emotional Intelligence, Coaching, Performance Management and Business Partnering. She also coaches leaders to help them overcome barriers to behavioural change.
Outside her consulting work she is on the Regional Committee for the Association Business Psychologists (ABP) and is a Careers Enterprise Advisor.
Her psychometric accreditations include the OPQ, 16PF, Saville Wave, Hogan and Insights personality instruments. She holds an Honours degree in Engineering, a Diploma in Psychology, a Masters degree in Occupational Psychology and a Diploma in Performance Coaching.
Julia enjoys road biking and on a sunny weekend will be found cycling around her home turf of the Yorkshire Pennines.
